Hi, my name is Vanina (or simply v) and this is the doman in use as a gateway to the very few sites i still own.
i spent quite a few years being a manga&anime fan, and then as time went on and university and friends started taking up most of my time, that interest waned. this is not to say i don't like manga&anime anymore - i just don't really have the time or the money to keep following all of them! nonetheless. i've decided to keep a few sites alive because of all the work and passion i've put in them.
all of my manga&anime websites are not updated anymore, but i do update both my blog and flickr fairly often!

misc info

i registered ciclamino.net in february 2004, as my previous domain (vsp.nu) of 4+ years had almost expired and i couldn't afford to renew it again. i chose ciclamino.net because my mum is a passionate gardener and we both love cyclamens, but it sounds a lot better in italian! voilà. i know cyclamens don't actually have much to do with manga&anime, but i still think it's pretty. ♥
my adventure on the internet started on xoom.it where i hosted my very first website. on february 13, 2000 i first bought vsp.nu (the first version was online a couple of months after that). after one year of intensive blogging i decided that i needed a domain for my blog, so in june 2003 i bought dashofmilk.co.uk. in january 2004, after some misadventures with one hosting company, i moved all of my files from my brother's server to bigbytes.net (ciclamino.net is now hosted there), which makes pretty good deals. nowadays both of my domains are hosted there.
to make my layouts i use paint shop pro 8 & photoshop 7 (to edit images), fireworks mx (to optimize them) and acdsee (to look at them). all my html is done with dreamweaver mx, which rocks my socks, and all of my files are uploaded with either cuteftp or flashfxp.
