Paradise Kiss
Paradise Kiss is currently published monthly on the japanese magazine Zipper (Shodensha) and can be considered as the continuation to Gokinjo Monogatari.
Synopsis
Several years after the end of the story in Gokinjo Monogatari, we are back in the Koda's family but this time with Miwako, Mikako's little sister... Actually the protagonist of the story is Caroline/Yukari, a really serious and dedicated high-school student... At least until she meets Miwako and all her crew, all students from the Yazawa Institute, who enjoy creating clothes in their "atelier" called Paradise Kiss. Hence the name!
Slowly Caroline starts to understand that study isn't everything, and that she doesn't want to live a boring life like her parents and almost all japanese: high-school, university, office working and marrying some good match...
She starts hanging out with Miwako, Arashi, Isabella and Joji (the hottest and coolest guy ever *drools*), she even drop out of school and leave her parents house, and start working as a model, finding her path in life... ^^
Characters
>> Yukari/Caroline Hayasaka: our protagonist, she's a good student and spend all her time studying to get in a good university, until she meets the people from the Paradise Kiss... In the beginning she fancies Hiroyuki, a classmate, but she then falls in love with Joji... The name Caroline was given to her by Miwako.
>> Miwako Sakurada: Mikako's sister, she was born after their parents reunited... She's the sweetest girl ever and quickly becomes Caroline's confident. She has some serious problems with love though... She's also Arashi's girlfriend. She studies at the Yazawa Institute. She has pink hair!!! *^^*

Arashi Nagase: Miwako's boyfriend, he's Lisa's and Takeshi's son (you can tell seeing him - he's hardcore punk like his mom!!!). He's very determinate and very jealous of Miwako, but he actually is a mature guy. He also attend the Yazawa Institute.
>> Joji Koizumi: A very mysterious guy... HE'S SO COOL *drools* Sorry... ^^;;; Joji (also called George) is the leader of the group. He has blue eyes and blue hair and he has a strange resemblance with the protagonist of Velvet Goldmine... :) He lives on his own; his mom, ex-model, is really young and doesn't really care about him, the same for his father... He also acts ambiguously with Caroline.
>> Isabella: He's also part of the ParaKiss - yes HE is. Isabella is a guy! But he dresses and acts like a girl. He can cook really well and he can be really weird! We don't know much about him actually - not even what his real name is.
>> Hiroyuki Tokumori: He's Hiroaki's son. He was a really good friend of Miwako and Arashi until junior high. Then something happened that made them separate... He is a good student, really serious and mature. Obviously, he's in love with Miwako!
>> We then meet all the characters from Gokinjo - Seiji, Mikako, Tsutomu, Lisa... Mikako is a famous fashion designer (she has her shops and her own brand, Happy Berry) and is married to Tsutomu, who is a famous photographer; they have a daughter, Alice, who's the cutest thing ever! Lisa is married to Takeshi, who realised his dream to be a rockstar. Seiji is a hairdresser and make-up artist and works with Mikako a lot.
